The engines of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta are designed to supply top level performance, technology and eco-friendliness. Alfa Romeo offers Seattle consumers a range of three brilliantly efficient engines: a 1.4L generating 120 hp, a 1.4 turbocharged generating 170 hp, and the 1.7-liter turbo-four in the Quadrifoglio (“four-leaf clover,” Alfa’s historic performance badge). All will feature the brand’s MultiAir technology and start-stop for extra fuel friendliness. The Multiair (or Uniair) is an electro-hydraulic variable valve actuation technology (without a throttle valve) that controls the valves in petrol or diesel engines, it is compatible with both naturally-aspirated and forced-induction engines.
